TOMMY CRAMER, APC, NCC, CCMHC

President and Founder

Our President is Tommy Cramer. Mr. Cramer is an Associate Professional Counselor who specializes in working with families and children. He earned a B.A. in Psychology from Maryville College and an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University. Mr. Cramer has experience working with children and families in an office and community setting to provide support, education, and counseling services. Mr. Cramer believes in working with families using a collaborative approach so they feel supported and empowered in all aspects of their daily lives. Mr. Cramer has experience using play therapy techniques, expressive arts techniques, and conducting social skills groups, IEP/504 coordination and advocacy, and conducting parenting sessions using 1-2-3 Magic. Mr. Cramer also has experience coordinating with families and schools to support children with 504 plans or Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and help them achieve their best chance of academic success. Mr. Cramer believes in using a client-centered approach to helping families and children achieve an overall sense of wellness in their lives. In his spare time, he loves to spend time with his family, read, and practice his art at home.

STEPHANIE MITCHELL, APC, NCC

Vice President of Fundraising

Our Vice President of Fundraising is Stephanie Mitchell. She is an associate professional counselor and National Certified Counselor. She earned a B.S. in psychology from Armstrong Atlantic State University and an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University. Ms. Mitchell has experience working with children and adults with severe mental illness in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Using a person-centered, existential approach, she believes all people have the capacity for self-awareness as well as a unique identity. Ms. Mitchell uses several CBT and DBT techniques, which are proven to work for anxiety, depression, and anger. Ms. Mitchell believes in providing insight and tools that enable each client with the ability to make authentic, and meaningful choices. Ms. Mitchell is particularly skilled at working with preteen and teen girls with anxiety and self-esteem issues. When not working, she enjoys spending time reading, horseback riding, and volunteering for local community organizations.

SHAUNA JOYE, PHD, LP

Secretary

Meet our Secretary, Dr. Shauna Joye! Dr. Joye is an Air Force veteran, licensed clinical psychologist, and adjunct graduate professor at Georgia Southern University. Currently, she is the owner/operator of Joye Psychology & Wellness. She earned a B.S. in biology from Georgia Southern University and a Ph.D. in psychology from Florida State University. She has extensive training in pediatric assessment and has been conducting comprehensive evaluations since 2006. She specializes in assessment and treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder, attention disorders, and learning disorders across the lifespan, including toddlers. Dr. Joye believes in a caring, competent, and comprehensive approach to psychological assessment and treatment. She strives to provide recommendations and treatment based on current research and using a collaborative approach so all patients feel empowered and validated. Dr. Joye lives in historic downtown Savannah and enjoys reading, spending time with family, and traveling. In her free time Dr. Joye volunteers with three nonprofit organizations: Warrior Expeditions helps combat veterans hike long-distance trails across the country. Dr. Joye's work with Warrior Expeditions has been published in a number of outlets, including the New York Times. Uuzilo helps individuals suffering from loss, grief, or trauma travel to Africa and embark on an extended motorcycle expedition. And finally, Excelsior Foundation for Family Wellness, Inc., which specializes in helping families develop a comprehensive foundation of family wellness.
